Public Transit is Fun!

I enjoyed my first taste of Spring yesterday, I even rebelled and didn't wear a coat! But today there are huge snow flakes falling again. It's actually very beautiful from my window. I just have to put out of my mind the fact that it's all going to accumulate.
Had a really interesting commute this morning. We rushed across the street to catch a bus that was packed with 6th graders that talked enough for 50 extra people. Then had to cram our way into a train with bags jammed between ribs. I started to smell burning rubber, so of course once we get into the tiniest station there is they unload us all and take the train out of service. In the middle of rush hour. We're all crammed so tightly that the people standing on the edge of the platform had to squeeze back to make sure they didn't get clipped by the next train coming in. Which was of course packed full. And very few people get off.
So the three of us say screw it and decide to go catch a cab the rest of the way to work. It was so full in the station that there were people waiting outside the turn styles b/c there was no room for them to get through.
Oh how I love city living.
